The Effects of Nitrogen Pressure and Diluent on β-Sialon Made by Combustion Syntheses

Abstract: Single phase β-Sialon powder was prepared by combustion synthesis method, with Si、A1、 A12O3and Si3N4 as raw materials under high nitrogen pressure. The effects of nitrogen pressure and the amountof the diluent on phase composition and microstructure of combustion products were studied in detail.
