Abstract: NiCuZn ferrite nanometre powder and MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 (MAS) gel powder were first synthesized by sol-gel process. Being mixed and sintered, a series
of novel composites with ferrite and MAS glass-ceramic were obtained. XRD resultsrevealed that the composites have diphasic structures of NiCuZn ferrite and
cordierite crystallites. No chemical reaction between two constituents during sintering was detected. The composites have tunable electric and magnetic properties
with the resonant frequencies higher than 2GHz.

Key words: NiCuZn ferrite, glass-ceramic, nanocomposite, electro-magnetic properties
